Old School Izakaya

Kick it old school with this video of Japanese izakaya culture from the 70's. Izakaya, or eating pubs, offer small plates to complement a steady flow of booze -- I love hanging at these joints in Japan (and here in New York, too.) But I've never seen minstrels, like in the video. I think they're gone, darn. Dig the classic Naomi Chiaki tune, "Kassai," too.
